QueenHeronCreations now sold at Frida!

The grand opening of the boutique Frida was this past Saturday in Georgetown during Artopia and Georgetown Music Festival. The colorful boutique is packed with unusal gifts, clothing and accessories and folk art created by local artists and designers.

My flowers, headbands, and pins are being sold there...stop in and check them out,

It's right inside the Georgetown Tile Works building on Airport Way...you can't miss it!

Fremont Solstice Parade Fun!

I know this happened last weekend, but here are some photos of me wearing my crocheted bellydance top and free form belt. I also made my hair falls, and attached matching yarns to the flower combs and added some cowrie shells. I also added some mother of pearl shells to the top.

Busy Rehearsing and Costuming

I have been busy putting together my costume for the Fremont Solstice Parade this Saturday at noon. I have dance rehearsal almost every night this week to prepare! It should be really fun! I will post a pic of my completed free form/fringe crochet belt on the day of the parade.

Today at I Heart Rummage

I had my first table at I Heart rummage at Chop Suey today. I had friends stop by my table to say hi, and I also met some great customers and fellow crafters. One customer described my large flowers as "something prehistoric," which i took as a huge compliment! Other folks say nice things too, but that comment struck me as "yes! this guy gets it!" Here was my table today:

I want to add more levels to the display, and I would like to display the headbands diffrently. I also think I need a bigger table for all my blooms!
