I'm pretty crazy about my new ruffle scarves which are now officially available in my Etsy shop. They are PERFECT for spring! So pretty! And wait to see what color combos are coming soon....so lovely! Yay!
The cowl that started it all....originally was supposed to be a sweater, but since I continuously failed at proper sleeves, I stitched up the sleeves and there was my giant cowl crocheted from 100% undyed peruvian wool. My first and favorite out of all I own :)
Here is another scarf that I absolutely love: the ruffle scarf. I love the texture and curves. Each scarf is made by hand without a pattern. I free form every ruffle! Two will be available tomorrow, but there will be many to come in fabulous colors for spring.
Click Here to check out the awesome finds in my latest treasury curation! It's titled "Fresh! Minty! Lovely!" and is inspired by my latest culinary treat: The Peppermint Pattie! I have been making them here at home and they are deeeelish!
I used the last of a large quantity of icelandic wool to felt myself a cozy for my new macbook. I wet felted the cozy, and to create the pocket, I used a resist, then reinforced the edges. This cozy is a great to wrap this "hi-tech" laptop with some "lo-tech" rustic icelandic wool felt, which is super strong and durable. Now my laptop won't get all scratched up in my bag. This cozy will be left plain, but this project has tons of cute rustic design potential for folks who like things a little more interesting :) Or Hobbits straight from Middle Earth.
This really orange treasury was created by Sakura Bath and Body on Etsy. The theme and colors are fantastic! And there is the QHC flower in the upper right hand corner. How lovely!
These cute oh so soft flowers are the perfect accessory when you want to add some color to the upcoming spring days. It has been warm here in Seattle, and the cherry blossoms are blooming! These new pin/hair clips are inspired by the flowering of Seattle! They are hand felted from 100% extra fine merino wool, and are available now in my Etsy shop.
While poking around in Velouria today, I saw the most gorgeous dresses made by designer Frocky Jack Morgan. If I ever have a big love party (not exactly a wedding) I will wear one of these dresses. This dress is made from wool and I love it like a crazy lady loves headbands.
"Dear Frocky Jack, please design my party gown and fashion it from sheep wool and moss. Sincerely, your biggest fan, queen heron."

My flower stems and flower pins are also still at Frida: Fineries and Frocks, which is the rockin' local boutique and gallery in Georgetown, and I will be refreshing my items there with some new pieces this weekend, so if you are down south, stop in!
Most things I make I want to keep for myself. That's how much I love what I make, and I like that feeling. But sometimes, I have to treat myself and just give in! I adore these colors, and this is a gift to myself for Valentine's Day :) 100% Merino wool hand dyed by Team Etsy Rain Etsy seller Nikki Wheeler. It is too soft to even try to describe!
