Crazy for Alpacas

Last month, my mom (who, btw, is an amazing, accomplished knitter) made a visit to Island Alpacas on Oak Bluffs, Martha's Vinyard. I am so jealous! These creatures are so adorable and, and the fiber they produce is so ridiculously soft.

My mom took some photos of the alpacas on the farm:

So cute! Babies!

I am really excited to have found some awesome superfine baby alpaca yarn to create the ultimate luxury cowl neck warmer. It makes perfect sense the Incans referred to their fleece as "The Fiber of the Gods," because the yarn is so soft and light to touch, I just want it around my neck all day long.
This cowl neck warmer is made from superfine baby alpaca yarn. Crazy soft!
